Saves a value of variable with the name set by key parameter.
Use storage.get method to receive the saved value.

Variables can be stored in two scopes:
  • Custom variable is bound to the user and only he/she or the application server can get access to it. Maximum 1000 variables can be created for each user.
  • Global variable is bound to the application and its usage does not depend on the user. To set a global variable when using API by the user, global parameter shall be passed. Maximum 5000 global variables can be created.

This method can be called by a service token. Only public data is returned.
This method can be called with a user token.
This method can be called with a community token.

Returns 1 if the variable is saved successfully.

To delete the variable you shall pass a blank value in value parameter.
